Good Roots AMKE is a non-profit environmental organisation created to support farmers and rural communities in the development of healthy and abundant landscapes and sustainable economies. Our work is rooted in a simple but urgent understanding: healthy soils, clean water, biodiversity, and strong local communities are the true foundations of long-term wellbeing—for people and for our planet.

We focus on regenerative agriculture as a practical and powerful tool for ecosystem restoration and climate resilience. By working with natural processes rather than against them, regenerative systems rebuild soil, increase biodiversity, improve water retention, and create productive landscapes that are more stable in the face of drought, heat, and economic uncertainty. At the same time, they offer farmers a pathway toward viable, secure livelihoods that do not depend on depletive practices or constant expensive inputs. We prioritise solutions guided by nature’s intelligence and the principles of the circular economy, working with locally available materials to turn waste into resources and challenges into opportunities.

Education and knowledge-sharing are central to our mission. Through workshops, training programs, and public outreach, we aim to make regenerative practices accessible and practical for farmers, landowners, and communities. We also support farmers directly in their transition toward ecological and regenerative management, offering technical guidance, organisational support, and access to fair market channels for their produce.

Our first project, The GoodRoots olive groves, puts these principles into action by regenerating olive landscapes to restore soil health, strengthen tree vitality, and enhance long-term productivity — while sequestering atmospheric carbon. Alongside this, we are developing the GoodRoots olive oil label to connect producers with markets that value ecological stewardship, ensuring fair recognition and reward — laying the foundation for a cooperative model that expands regenerative land management across the region.

At its core, Good Roots is about service—to land, to people, and to future generations. We believe that true wealth is not measured only in financial terms, but more fundamentally in clean water, healthy soils, nourishing food, and supportive communities. Our role is to help create the conditions where these forms of wealth can grow.
